Request Update - Ableton Live

Request Update - Ableton Live

2009-03-13 by stk

Hi,
Does anyone know the correct parameter update request (or if one even exists) to cause Live (v7) to send all it's mapped CCs?

I'm attempting to get BCR knobs shared across 2 banks to synchronise (ie, encoders 1-8 are always mixer channel 1-8 levels, while the rest of encodes switch between fx sends on bank 1 and fx parameters on bank 2).

I figure that if Live can successfully respond to an update request by sending its mapped CCs, encodes 1-8 will always be in sync between banks.

Thanks in advance,
Skye

to my knowledge the only way to do this is to turn midi map on then off in Ableton. I do not believe there is any midi message that will allow separate presets to be updated and kept in sync.

Hi,
I kind of suspected as much, after lots of trial & error & forum crawling last night..

I'm putting together a tiny vst plugin that keeps track of changed midi ccs and spits them back out upon receiving a custom midi command, I'll keep this group posted.

cheers,
sk

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
