BCF2000 Encoders

Hi

There are 15 LED for Encoder 1.
I'd like : two first and two last LED (1,2,14,15) light off.
I'd like : the others LED shining.

How ?

My basic BCL code is :

$rev F1
$encoder 1
  .easypar CC 1 16 0 15 relative-3
  .showvalue on
  .mode 1dot
  .default 8
$end

Thanks for your help

There are only two basic displays.
A group that start on 1 or 15 - the variations are a sing Led or a bar
.mode 1dot ;1 led moves from 1 to 15 (usually)
.mode 1dot/off ;0 = no led
.mode bar ;Each led on in turn
.mode bar/off
.mode damp ;like bar but lights go on in opposite direction
.mode cut ;Each led off in turn

Two, the middle and work out
.mode 12dot ; these go from 1 to 7
.mode 12dot/off
.mode pan ;Each led on in turn starting from the centre (left or right bar)
.mode spread ;Starting from the centre 1 left and 1 right leds go on
.mode qual ;Opposite of spread

Try these and see if any are better for you. As far as I know these are the only display modes.

You know that with relative-3 it puts out

$B0 $10 $01
$B0 $10 $01
$B0 $10 $01
$B0 $10 $01
when turned clockwise and
$B0 $10 $41
$B0 $10 $41
$B0 $10 $41
$B0 $10 $41
anticlockwise (the value increases if you turn it quickly)?

I am curious to know what you are doing with it??

All the best
Royce

Thanks Royce,
Do you speak French ?

I tried all the modes (1dot, BAR, PAN ...)
I tried all the relative and absolute mode too...
$B0 $10 $01 when turned clockwise in relative mode
$B0 $10 $41 when turned anticlockwise in relative mode
$B0 $10 $xx where $xx is the position of the encoder in absolute mode.

I'm trying

In fact I've got 15 LEDS with BCF-2000 but with TRACKTION 2, when I capture midi out info from DAW after turned PAN , I see only 11 positions (1=left 2,3 ...,11=right)... so the 11 first LED from BCF-2000 shined but not the 4 last.
I'd like 11 positions of PAN from DAW corresponds 15 LEDS of push-encoder.
Best regards
Romuald

Hi Romuald

Very badly, I'm afraid. Your English is much better.

I can't think of a way to do it.
The best I can think of doing using all 15 leds
What are the Midi messages from TRACKTION 2 for hard left, centre and hard right?

Hi Royce,

Tracktion 2 sends :
-CC48 channel 1 value 1 for left position
-CC48 channel 1 value 6 for center position
-CC48 channel 1 value 11 for right position

But in order to drive PAN in TRACKTION from BC I've to send from BC :
  -CC16 channel 1

For instance :

$encoder 1

  .easypar CC 1 48 1 11 relative-3
  .mode 1dot
  .resolution 24 48 96 192
  .showvalue on
  .tx $B0 16 ifp & $B0 16 ifn 65

Thanks
