Bc2000 (for the BCF2000 & BCR2000)

Hello BC group!

This question is for anyone who has taken apart the BCF2000:

Aside from actually trying (I haven't purchased one yet)... Would you think it would be possible for the BCF2000 to run without the top rotary PCB board connected (aka remove the two ribbon cables?)

Basically space is a major issue and I would like to have just the section with the motorized faders. Has anyone tried this?

PS I couldn't find anywhere the specs on those motorized faders... Most alps faders are very expensive... surely they must be imitations?
