Windows 7-BC Manager

Windows 7-BC Manager

2011-11-19 by karel skakal

Hello, I installed windows 7, 64 bit and plugged in my BCR2k, everything is OK, BCR shows up in other software.

I downloaded the latest BC manager, started it up and NO BCR detected, it just freezes...

Is there something I have to do? I was on XP before. Is the editor compatible? Do I need some special drivers?

TIA

Hi TIA.
Normally it should work.
I have Windows 7 64 Bit with two BCR's, everything is fine. No problems with them and the BCR-Manager software.

Best regards from Dresden, Germany.

Norris Terrify

Do you have the Vista64 drivers for the BCR?

You can use any program capable of uploading sysex files.

Many DAW programs (Sonar etc.) offer this facility.

But if you're only looking for a program that can simply upload the original presets, on Windows you can try MIDI-OX, or my own BC Manager or MIDI Tools (available from http://home.kpn.nl/f2hmjvandenberg281/).

In MIDI Tools: go to View -> System Exclusive messages, then use File -> Insert, select all messages, and "Play" them to your BCR.

BC Manager is more sophisticated, in that it also offers a bidirectional, handshaking uploading method, and that you can edit presets.

Hope this helps,
Mark.
