BCF-2000 - limited communication

BCF-2000 - limited communication

2012-04-14 by maxichip99

Hi, I am new in this this forum and a new user of bcf-2000. I want to use my bcf-2000 with DasLight (version DVC3). For this the presets have to be reprogrammed to "CC" only. This works fine with the BCF. Both BCF manager and BC-Edit communicate with the BCF, however I cannot actively send and receive data, the functions in the drop-down menue are not active. With the very old BC-Edit it works (old PC with old Java). What an I doing wrong?
Regards, maxichip99

Let me add that I cannot allocate an input or outpout channel:all ports are shown as disabled.

You can program the BCF from my editor (File section) using the BC2000 programming language or you can get Mark's graphic editor (link is in the Link area - Mountain Utilities).
Either will let you get to all the functions of the BC2000. A lot of these functions can't be programmed any other way.

I tried with the graphic editor and the BCF ist identified as enabled device with input and output functionality. However, with the BC Manager I always get "disabled BCF 2000". I am connected via USB only. What else can I do?

Have you managed to fix this yet?
As far as I know, if a device in the "B-Controls" window is "Disabled", this can only mean that its MIDI input and output ports have not been enabled via the main window's Options -> "MIDI devices" dialog box.
Ticking the pertinent checkboxes should fix this.

Hope this helps,
Mark.

Hi Mark,
sorry for answering late - I had a couple of other things to do in between, but now I am back. Yes, it works this way. I can't recall what I might have done wrong. Thank you.
