Pete,
mm that sounds bad, as i want to use it without computer.
The machine i'm talking about is a s760 sampler.

Currently, i'm using a Kenton Control Freak (very good controller, except buttons sucks), and it can handle checksums. But i want more controls, and continuous would be a real plus. According to the Kenton documentation, these checksums are an old midi data added to sysex messages on some old equipments (mostly Roland). It's a couple of hex numbers added just before the end of the sysex string. It must be calculated inside the controller, i don't know if the bcr2000 can handle calculations...

Steve,
I don't remeber what MidiTranslator is. A software?

Many thanks,
Boris

Many thanks, Royce. +++
So there is still hope... if one can understand programming stuffs & german..
:/
the additional work seems to worth it though, probably makes the b2000 a good choice for the geek midi musician. getting geeker everyday! I go get it.
I'll post forward the roland-checksum solution when i'm done with it.
thanks again,
Boris
