BCR2000 Synth/MIDI

BCR2000 Synth/MIDI

2013-03-23 by alcolmx@rocketmail.com

I'm a complete noob re: all things MIDI. I recently purchased an SCI Six- Trak and a BCR2000 to control it's parameters.

I've got the BCR happily talking to the Six-Trak. However, I'd like to be able to record MIDI and in turn trigger the Six-Trak via MIDI from my DAW while controlling the Six-Trak's parameters via the BCR.

Currently I've got:
Six-Trak > BCR
BCR Out A > Six-Trak
BCR Out B > Saffire Pro40 > Reaper

This is allowing me to record MIDI, but obviously not trigger the Six-Trak via MIDI.

I've tried: Six-Trak > BCR (both outputs) > Saffire > Six-Trak
This allows MIDI to speak back and forth with the Six-Trak, but no BCR control of the synth.

What am I missing?
Any and all help is appreciated. TIA.

Got it sorted.

Simply reversed the direction of the MIDI signal:
Six-Trak > Saffire Pro40 > BCR > Six-Trak
and put the BCR in stand-alone mode 2.
