Ah! I found a workaround in Ableton Live. You could first use the Midi Learn button to map the encoders, then use the Max4Live Mapulator plugin to change the resolution.
But I don't like this solution. Is it possible to somehow edit the Mackie Control for Cubase preset (sysex file?) by dumping it, change the resolution and then upload the changed preset back to the BCF2000?
