bcr2000 Manually Programing Button / MKS50

2013-12-19 by <ericjustin1620@...>

Hey Guys

I just scored a BCR2000 from a friend who was about to throw it away. Acording to him, 3 different computers wouldn't recognize it when using USB.

I hooked it up to my MKS 50 and began to program the rotary encoders. This was pretty straight forward after reading the online programming guide available on Behringers website. Next I tried to program the buttons but things didn't go to smoothly. According to the guide, you hold learn and press the button, release both, send sysex message and hope for a "good" response. This all worked for me. The guide then goes on to say that a second value needs to be programed by holding edit and pressing the button, releasing both, then pushing rotary encoder 5 and setting its value to 0. This doesn't work for me, When pushing in the encoder, I just get a - (dash) that can't be edited. In this state, I can turn things on but not back off. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Eric

Hi Eric
pop over to http://mountainutilities.eu/

Grab the BC Manager software and program the button.

You will also find Mark the programmer of the editor on the forum he's just started there.

There is a lot of stuff you can do with this control that Behringer won't tell you about.

Go to my web site and have a look the SecretBC http://www.bwalk.com.au/BC2k/BC2k.html

All the best

Royce
