Print Menu Grayed-out

Print Menu Grayed-out

2007-10-13 by Dave Burns

I did a search, but maybe I'm the only one who's had this problem. The
Print Menu in BCEDIT 2 beta 3 is grayed out, and I have no access to
print anything. Any advice?

Thanks!

As you know this is a very early version. A testing version and a long
way from a release version.

What do you want to print?

Hi, thanks for replying. :)

I just bought the BCR and I didn't know about bcedit being new.

I was just trying out all the menus, and was wondering if it was some
problem on my end that caused the Print menu to be unavailable.

I'd like to be able to print out a list of all my assignments in a
preset, or even a list of all presets with details of their
assignments. I know that's a lot to ask, but again, I was just
wondering what the program could do.

It would be great to be able to produce something like the Preset
descriptions found in the two-page worksheet that comes with the
BCR2000.

Do you work on the program? Is it still being developed?

Thanks!

Welcome Dave,

Unfortunately it isn't new. Behringer have never released a later version.

The BCR/BCF can do a whole heap more than Behringer or their editor seem to want us to know about.
Check out some of the other postings.

Although each preset can have a name, a name to describe what the encoder or switch does is not stored in the BCR/BCF
So you would have to type out a list anyway
I wrote an editor (in the file section) that will produce a list of the controls as you are editing, but you still have to type its name in.

I generally get the jpg of the BCR (from Behringer) and use a paint program to write labels.
Check out my FantomX patches in the file section. There is an example of what I mean in there (you'll need to unzip the file and it is the pdf file).

tekrytor kindly produced a pdf of the worksheet that you can fill in and print.

This is probably all you need.

I'm afraid I don't know who developed it.
There is another free editor in the file section that you might like to try out.
It is by a guy called Birdie, but it doesn't contain all the extra stuff the units can do.
Another musician on this list, Mark, is writing a graphic editor with all the extra features.
So stay tuned to the list.

Wow, what a load of information! I looked at your script editor and
I can see it will take me a while to master this thing. :)

Thanks for replying so thoroughly, and also for all the work you
have put into unlocking the secrest of the B-Control.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
