How to control Cubase SX part 2 [ tutorial ]

Well part2 is finally up, with a 24 track temple and a few extra banks. I kept the template pretty simple so that it can easily be modified. You'll find it all right here .

If you have any question you can post them right here.

First of all:
Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!You saved me from throwing my BCR out of my
window ;)

I do have a question about panning. You made it possible to control
the (standard) stereo balance panner. I usually work with an other
panning mode; stereo dual panner. Is there any way I can control this
also? If I set the panner to stereo dual panner and want to control
the panning, only the top paramater from the panner moves and not the
bottom one. I can't figure out how to set the generic remote so I can
control the panning in this way.

Another question about assigning effects (plugins). I managed to
assign my vst-i's to the BCR thanks to your tutorial. But I would like
to control a eq-plugin (Kjaerhus) because I like that more than the
Cubase eq. Do you know how I can control a plugin like a eq. And is it
possible to use that on every channel?

Thanks again.

Best regards,

Henk

As far as I can tell that seems to be an omission in the generic remote.

You can still control it but you'll have to edit the xml file by hand.

here's how I did it.

I used EncoderGroup B because it was free

I first set up pans on EGB_En 1 to EGB_En 8

Normal pan the only option shown.

EGB_En 1 / VST mixer / Audio 01 / Panner --> PanLR

when you've done all 8 save the xml file

open the xml file in notepad

go down to :

what you're looking for is;
panner : panX

after the X insert a 2 (Don't add spaces)

so you'll have panX2 leave everything else the same.

save the XML, import it back in Cubase

that's it.

It's a hack but it works on my cubase sx 3.1.1
