machine, that is, to use Front Panel Express if you're in the United States
or Schaeffer if you're in Europe. They fabricate finished panels from your
specifications. It's a very slick system: you download free software from
their site to design your panel, upload your file, and they mail you the
finished panel. It's not cheap, though; I do panels in MOTM format and they
typically run at least $40. On the other hand, for one-of-a-kind panels, the
quality of the end result is worth the expense, in my opinion. But maybe
other folks are better with a drill press than I am. :-)
The US site is at http://frontpanelexpress.com/ There are a couple of photos
of panels done from my designs at my website, http://www.studionebula.com .
I'm currently working on a combination CGS Digital Noise and a homebrew
sample and hold, which will share a panel. I'll post photos of that when
it's finished.
