I can undersatand your passion. I've caught the bug nearly 30 years
ago and am just now making a dream become reality. If you would
consider buying rather than building a module Sythesizers.com offers
an Instrument Interface module (Q118) that takes an audio input is
gives you an envelope, gate and trigger output.
I also have to agree with you that Ken's stuff, freely shared, is
great. There are a number his of things that are on my MUST HAVE
(eventually) list. Bic-n-Tic, bandpass (many) Analogic, just for
starters. Unfortunately, doing the single parent thing these days, I
don't have the time to shop for all the parts, especially the
specialty ones. For someone like me, it would be great if I could
order the board from Ken and a bag of parts from someone else and work
on it in what little spare time I have.
And a request to Ken, It would be great (IMHO) if you came out with a
envelope follower. I want to build my own Vocoder and to do that I
need a bunch of bandpass filters (Ken's) a bunch of envelope followers
(please Ken) and a bunch of VCA's. It's a really simple thing to do
but you need several of each circuit.
