As a VCO you will want to take the output of the CA3140 or the CD4024
to separate outputs. The output of the CA3140 is 0 to +5 volts so you
can use a 2X gain amplifier with a level shift to generate +/- 5 volt
outputs.

The CD4024 outputs are logic at 0 and +7 volts. You could also
convert these with amplifiers but I used the CGS-56 Gate Converter to
generate the +/- 5 volt VCO outputs.
