it appears the RRMs I just received don't have the germanium diodes as
before:

" Each is hand assembled using matched 1969 germanium diodes (from a
computer of the same vintage) and a pair of brand new 3k impedance
transformers."
The new ones look like silicone diodes instead?
any reason for the change, what's the difference sonically?
