The wire/jumper between L & S pads should make the bottom section seem like it doesnt work at all, until you feed it that high Coupler output (while patched to cycle).
When the L to S jumper is not installed the bottom section should Cycle at audio range like the top section does, making it a bit confusing at first.
Actually if you are wiring for COA #1 i would assume that you plan to use both sections as slews / no L to S jumper would be needed in that case.
With a photo we should be able to help. I only have the old board version here ( first CGS version) need to wire a COA#2 this week & need to order more PCBs ! :)
