Bob Knarley's parts list for the Synthacon VCF is a good one. It's
important to use good capacitors. The 23PS222 polystyene part
especially. I used metalized polyester caps for the 1uf values that pass
the signal, Mouser 75-MKT1826510064. Also, it is worth looking at the
message archives for resistor values to use on the CV inputs, as given
by John Loffink. In my Synthacon's, I substituted a 100nf capacitor for
the 1uf on the base of the 2N2222 that mixes the CV inputs. This cap
adds some lowpass filtering on the CV. I don't know why it was 1uf. I
found several older Synthacon circuits on the Internet, and some of them
omitted this cap.
I did not add a VCA for resonance control. So I can't help there.
10 packs of resistors? I started buying 200 packs of the common
values. Only $4.00. The price drops to 2 cents each.
