Stomp Box Adapter advice

Stomp Box Adapter advice

2005-03-19 by eblake_smith

Hello all,

I'm sure this is a silly question but as a neophyte I would
appreciate some advice... I'm planning on building a stand-alone
filter box using the stomp box adapter and 1 or 2 steiner VCFs
along with the dual LFO or a couple of psycho LFOs to modulate
the frequency cutoffs and I'm wondering if the line-lump power
suppy that powers the adapter board can be used the power the
filters and modulators at the same time and how one would go
about wiring that. Thanks in advance.

That's the idea actually. You will find 0V (GND), +VE and -VE pads on the
stomp box adapter that are there to power other PCBs. Just wire these to the
power inputs on the other boards. Make sure you use a line-lump with enough
power output for the job, and if the regulators get hot, add small heatsinks
to them. I'd guess a 250ma or there abouts line-lump would be adequate, but
measuring the current drawn when you are finished would be the best way to
work that out.
