sub oscilator big 100n on the pcb

2005-04-21 by m0n075

Hi there

I think i got my sub vco pretty done (it's a rev 2)
But now there is a thing witch is unsoldered under the name CGS01
It says 100n and it's bigger then the other 100n spots.
And if i count the part list then i come to 8 100n's.
So i did them all but that one is still open and the spot is bigger to.
Anyone can help me out?

Regards,

Dennis

The old version used 8 100n. I believe the new one has space for an extra -
it's just power rail decoupling. As for different sizes, I allow as much
space for 100n caps as the board will permit. Sometimes there isn't space,
so I just put in two holes at .2". If there is more space, I will alow for
.3" and .4". Conversely if I have to run a lot of tracks between the pins, I
will leave out the 0.2" spacing, and that is what I think you are referring
to here. Just stick in a 100n that will fit. Bend leads if you need.
