gated comparator

2002-08-25 by tsomneevich

Hi group,

I got my gated comparator going, and it is a very very fun module,
and the led's are real pretty too :)

I used 2n3904's on the board by putting them in backwards, and it
runs great, so it seems they are a confirmed replacement for the
BC547, as long as you put them in the wrong way.

Thanks,
Scott

Hi all!

If you've built the gated comparator without LED's, what resistor
values did you substitute on the emitter of the buffers?

Thanks!

Option 1: Leave the resistors as is.
Option 2: 10k to 100k. It isn't critical.
Option 3: Replace the 1k resistors with links, and the LEDs with resistors
of your choice. For example a 4k7 in place of the LEDs would give you approx
5V outputs, while 2k2 would give you around 7v.
