Bi-N-Tic sub outputs question

Bi-N-Tic sub outputs question

2005-05-16 by allanjhall

Hi all,

I'm planning my Bi-N-Tic to have all options, including the option of
using it as a VCO with sub outs. I was considering adding a mixer to
the sub outs with separate volume pot for each sub, which would buffer
them and allow a mix of all four subs to be added to VCO output. Now,
I was also thinking of feeding this sub output mix to the input of Bi-
N-Tic filter rather than using the four way switch idea - this would
obviously allow a variable mix of subs to be fed to the filter, but
would this be a useful effect?

The CGS04 DC Mixer looks fine for this application, I guess I'd need
to use audio taper pots in the mixer rather than linear as these are
essentially audio signals?

Also, I'm still trying to work out why it's called the Bi-N-
Tic........?

Cheers,
Allan

Stick with linear pots. My other sub-oscillators all use linear pots, and
are quite useable with that configuration. If you have log pots to hand, I
guess they would be okay.
