bi-n-tic......

bi-n-tic......

2005-08-17 by boward_k

Hi.
Fisrt: what is a 0,156 4 pin connector?
...after series of double checks I can be sure that there are not 14
(but 13) marked 10K resistors,not 9 (but 8)100n, (and 10pF is not even
printed) on my Bi-N-Tic PCB...Am I right, or does this overlay have a
missprint?

Hi Bob

Don't know about the component numbers as i dont have my pcb with me. the
0.156 connector you ask about though is the same as the MOTM power
connectors. have a look here for info

http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.asp?ID=HM3444&CATID=&keywords=0%2E156&SPECIAL=&form=KEYWORD&ProdCodeOnly=&Keyword1=&Keyword2=&pageNumber=&priceMin=&priceMax=&SUBCATID=

This is for a 4 pin which is what you need, the picture unfortunately is of
an 8 pin type but will give you the idea. hope it helps

There are probably 1 extra of 10k and 100k because mys software deosn't know
the difference between a trimmer and a resistor, and I failed to notice it
while putting the parts list together. 100n -yes, there are 8.
No 10p either.

The PCB is correct.

Thanks! That explains alot!
...but what would make the difference if you choose the MOTM/Modcan
sockets?
...and one thing about the saw pitchshifter/Wave multiplier:
where does the two 100K Lin pots fit in?
And the power connector "section" is very confusing to me, why the
multiple holes for +/-V,0,GND,+6V(?!)??

I don't quite understand what you mean here. You either fit a 4 pin MOTM or
a 3 pin Modcan.

One at each input. Look at the circuit diagram.

Extras are for convenience. The 6V line is not used on this board. It is
part of a bus I was using in my Serge.

Thanks! That explains alot more!
by the way ken, will there be any new module(s) with bananalogue.com?
And if-what like?

Yes, there will be more. The next one is.... well, I wouldn't want to
pre-empt Seth's announcement, would I?

What about Frac-rack format versions? I realize that "fracrack bananalogue"
is kind of an oxymoron, since the fracrack
uses 1/8" jacks and not banana jacks... but?

That is the plan.
