Source for trim pots?

Source for trim pots?

2002-08-15 by Jim Johnson

Can anyone suggest a source or part number for the trim pots used on the
CGS boards?

Just ordered a bag of parts from Jameco for the boards, and began soldering
the Analogic tonight. It's been a long time since I did any PC board
building. I gotta say, this is getting to be pretty convenient.. what with
boards like those from Ken, Web-based parts ordering, and cheap shipping..
this is really the golden age of DIY. Hats off to Ken for the boards!

Hi Jim,

Anything will work, really, thanks to Ken's nice boards. He's the only one I
know of who allows for either vertical or horizontal single-turn trims, or
two kinds of multi-turn leg spacings. What a guy :)

I use unicornelectronics.com for inexpensive Bourns 25-turns, and I get
single-turns from Mouser -- ones w/ little white knobs, which is nice to
have: part number 323-409H-(value) or 323-409V-(value).

Fun fun!

Hello (again),

Obviously, I have tons of questions, but I do not want to ask them
all at once for fear of alienating the kind people on this board.

On to the question: Should the trimmers for the Analog Logic be
single-turn or multi-turn?

Many thanks,
Bob

p.s., is there anyone in Los Angeles who might have the
patience to answer some of my basic questions over the phone
or even (gasp) in person? Ta...

Multiturn - you can tell by the little picture on the overlay.

Cheers,

Ken
