Synthacon errors

Synthacon errors

2002-12-31 by sasami@hotkey.net.au

I seem to have made an unusual number of blunders on this one :(

On the circuit diagram the 10k resistor in series with the 1k resonance pot
is in fact 1k. The PCB is correct.

The 10uF between the output transistors and the input of the opamp buffer is
correct on the circuit diagram, and reversed on the PCB.

It seems I had a thing for putting in caps backwards on this board...

Well,
I just got my Synthacon VCF up and running and I must say that
I really like it. It has a very unique sound and running different
audio sources into the inputs makse for some really intersting
sounds. Everyone should have at least one of these filters. My
only question would be how to get a higher level of resonance.

More resonance should be available by increasing the value of the pot, say
to 2k5. This thing goes quite mad when the resonance is taken over the top.
Quite cool :)
