programmer question

programmer question

2007-02-13 by wasubot

Sorry to bother this list again. I notice the when i use the programmer
buttons to activate a stage that stage cant be retriggered by again pressing
the same programmer button. Is this the same way the serge one works? I have
been thinking of somehow adding a touch keyboard or such but i think its
only worthwhile if notes can be retriggered, I suppose there is a simple way
to modify the circuit even? Maybe the switches i have used are wrong?

It isn't a keyboard. Once a stage is selected it remains selected. As such
an additional click or pulse cannot cause it to change states - thus no
futher pulse outputs.

If you really wanted to, an extra diode could be added to each button (at
the junction with the other two diodes. The cathodes of these new diodes
would all be connected together and to a 100k pulldown with a transistor
emitter follower output stage asp per what I usually use on gate outputs.
This would give you a new keypress gate out signal, the length of which is
controlled directly by how long you keep the button pressed. It would work
on the buttons only, not the external pulses or clocking.
