Can I use an ssm2210 on the transistor pair on the Bi n tic filter ?
It should line up as. Is it overkill ?

Yes it works. I used it in a Bi N Tic. I used a 8 pin socket but cut the
two pins off for it to fit on the board.

No it isn't overkill. If you have any plan of using this in its VCO form, a
good matched pair and tempco are a good idea.
It should drop straight in, no pins need clipping - there are two extra
holes hidden in the paint circle of the overlay.
