More of those ASR questions...

More of those ASR questions...

Just built an analog shift Register, and it seems to have a few of the
same problems as other people's... In a nutshell, the output at 1 is
*about* 10mV higher (enough to cause a very noticeable audio
difference) than the input voltage (but fairly stable), the outputs at
2 and 3 are *roughly* 14-20 mV higher and have that 'droop' that
people mention; slow drop in voltage until the next clock pulse. I've
matched the resistors as best I could, added the resistor between the
4053 and 074, and put small caps (22 or 47pF) across the 074 inputs,
as has been suggested. Should I just bite the bullet and invest in
some quality capacitors for Cx? I sort of skimped on them, they were
basically the first four that came to hand... (I think they're
polystyrene, 47n)
Any help appreciated,
Andrew.

The offset can be nulled out by adjusting the offset resistor in that output
stage. Go to larger, better caps to deal with the droop.
