DC mixer boards wired as matrix? (oh, and LEDs)
2008-11-11 by a_wetterberg
hey all, nice to finally join up!
So I've been going back and forth, wondering how to properly design my
own matrix mixer. I am going for a 6x6 rig with normalled jacks for
each column, so right away it would appear that the input/output
boards aren't ideal.
but what about the regular dc mixer mini boards? they're already
primed for 6 inputs, what would be required in order for me to normal
all 6 inputs across each mixer?
Would additional buffering etc. be required?
And another thing, perhaps OT, but if I wanted to hook up LEDs to
these mixer outputs, what kind of protection would they need? I
imagine that matrix to take a fair amount of punishment, if that helps!
cheers much, and I wish I had discovered the bridechamber kits earlier!
