Gated Comparator Schematics?
2009-03-02 by Jon
Hi,
I've been looking at the Gated Comparator for a while now - and
there's a slight difference between the version 1 and 2 available on
the CGS site -
On the old version
(http://www.cgs.synth.net/modules/pic/schem_cgs13_gated_comparator.gif),
there was an output buffer connected after the diode to leg 7 of the 4015.
On the current version -
http://www.cgs.synth.net/modules/pic/schem_cgs13v2_gc.gif that is
missing on the schematics - but present on the board?
The difference between comp. out and Q1, is that the comp. output is
"live"? I.e. it's high if the input is above the threshold? - And not
gated by the clock signal?
Cheers!
