Pulse Divider cgs36 parts question BC547 or BC557

Pulse Divider cgs36 parts question BC547 or BC557

2011-05-31 by Adam

Hi all,

Probably a "newbie" question - but I need to check:

I'm building a CGS36 ver1.3, and the MOM says 2x BC557, and 12x BC547. Then on the PCB, its simply says "Transistors BC547, BC557"...... so my question is where do the BC557's go? Does it matter - or can I all BC547's?

Thanks very much for any help - I did check the archives.. but no luck.

Look at the transistor markings on the PCB. Two have a tiny arrow pointing inwards. These are the BC557. They are at the end of the board with the unicorn. One is near the unicorn, and the other is about 1/2" diagonally away from it.
All the rest have the little arrow pointing outwards and are BC547.
You cannot use all BC547.
