CGS 40 - Modulo Magic

CGS 40 - Modulo Magic

2012-09-12 by Stephen Richards

Hi Ken

I have run into a problem , i am changing out the 100K resistors for the 560K and 470K and there are some conflicting pieces of information.

On the schematic the resistors are marked :

OFS and SS - 470K

REF - 560K

On the wiring diagram at the bottom of the page :

OFS and REF - 470K

SS - 560K

Which one is correct ?

Also , i have the earlier version of the CGS40 not the 1.2 Version.

Is the schematic any different ?

Schematic is incorrect. I'll fix it. Thanks for pointing it out.

Correct:

Significantly, but the functionality is the same. The changes are in the
circuitry driving the switches, and the addition of stabilizing caps across
the op-amps.

Cheers Ken

Where is the best place to tap 'pos' and 'neg' busses from on that board ?

A couple more questions.

There isn't a second OFS pad provided on this board. I've already used the OFS pad for OFFSET VC.
Where can i put the OFFSET Wiper connection ?

Also , there's no INIT STEP CV pad. Where is best to attach the INITIATION pot Wiper ?

Through an external resistor to M1 - Look at the V1 documents linked from
the top of the page. http://www.cgs.synth.net/modules/cgs40v1_modulo_magic.html
All the relevant details are in that article, even if the wiring diagram
doesn't reference the BoCGS panel.
