CGS 79 question

CGS 79 question

2013-11-24 by Stephen Richards

Hi Ken

I'm building the CGS 79 right now.

I was just wondering which trimmer would be best to use to replace the 25K in this case ?

I have 20k or 100k.

Best Regards

Stephen

TR2 and TR3 could be either 20k or 100k with no difference in behavior.
I would use 20k for TR1.

One more thing on this.

When do you install C1 ? Is it if you use a TL071 ? That is what I'm using as I don't have any LM307.

If you don't have an oscilliscope, fit C1.
If you do, you can test the output to see if it is stable without C1. If it
is oscillating, you would then need to fit C1.

Basically, it's good practice to fit C1 either way. I left it as optional
because it wasn't in the original.
