CGS13 V2.2 Gated Comparator - Range pot wiring.

CGS13 V2.2 Gated Comparator - Range pot wiring.

2015-08-08 by Stephen Richards

I decided to check up on myself and have a poke under the hood of my SWAMP panel.

The range pot wiring is vexing me...

Because i am using the CGS 31 V1.2 Digital Noise Mixer section instead of a CGS04 ; i need to confirm a few wiring things.

I'm a bit confused about which diagram to follow : the Muffs link below or the Wiring diagram from the CGS13 page.

* Which pad on the CGS 31 V1.2 Digital Noise Mixer section is Gated Comparator Mix Out ? Is it OUT as below to MIX OUT jack on the panel ?

* Which pad on the Noise Mixer does Gated Comparator CCW go to after it goes to Mix Inv Out jack on the panel via the 1K Resistor ?

*Should Range CCW be wired directly to a pad on the Noise mixer (ignoring the 1K resistor), then from OUT 1 to the INV OUT jack on the panel ?

* Which pad on the Noise Mixer does Gated Comparator CW go to ?

*Is the Range Pot wiper to be connected to the CW in all cases above ?

Look at the symbols on the PCB. The little CCW arrow goes to the CCW end of the pot. The triangle goes to the wiper. The CW end goes nowhere (or is shorted to the wiper).

Range CCW to MIX INV jack with a 1K as per diagram then to CCW pad, just to be sure ?
