Burst Generator - really need help with terminal connections

Burst Generator - really need help with terminal connections

2016-02-26 by trimix83

Why can't there just be a photo or sketch?

Please help - I can't decipher the schematics. I'm building Burst Generator, and can't understand how to connect terminal pads for the following:

Range: wtf? -one goes nowhere. so for a SPDT switch: centre lug to ___? outer lug to ____?

POT: wtf? there's only one pot. Middle lug to ___? End lug to ___? Does it matter?

CLK O: confirm please - goes to switch lug of CLOCK IN jack? or to terminal pad CLK I?

Any help is appreciated

There are two pads marked Range. If using a SPDT switch, which is most likely, one wire goes to the center lug of the switch. One goes to one of the outside lugs. The other outer terminal is simply ignored. Which wire goes to the center? It doesn't bloody matter. Which outside lug? It depends on which way up you mount the switch.

>POT: wtf? there's only one pot. Middle lug to ___? End lug to ___? Does it matter?
One wire goes to the middle lug. One goes to one end. Rotate the pot fully clockwise. See which outer lug is shorted to the center lug using a meter. Put the second wire to that. If you some how get it working backwards, move the wire to the other outer lug. Which wire goes to the center? It doesn't bloody matter. If it did, the details would have been given on the PCB itself. The schematic diagram already holds these details, although the clockwise end is merely to the right, but not marked "CW".

>CLK O: confirm please - goes to switch lug of CLOCK IN jack?

It goes to the switch lug of the CLOCK IN jack. Again, this information is clearly available on the schematic diagram itself. The schematic diagram is the most important piece of information on the page.
