i am looking to build some CGS modules but i have seveal questions , will it
be compatable with my (planned) Paia,Blacet frac-rack system ? will it use
the same power supplies ? will it still be 1v/oct ? i am sure that these are
redundant questions , thanks

CGS stuff is 1V/oct, and uses the exact same power supplies as Blacet. In
fact, I recall recommending his supply on one of my pages. The power
connectors are identical.

The only frac-rack issue you will have is that some of the PCBs will need to
be installed so their length is vertical to the plane of the panel, as they
are too long otherwise.

Howabout the Synthacon filter? I don't see any calibration trimpots...

It is more accurately described as "exponential". Using a 100k pot wired as
a level pot before the VC input would allow the scale to be adjusted. If
there isn't enough range, reduce the 220k CV input resistor. It's tracking
is not as accurate as some other filter types, so don't expect to be ablue
to use it as a second VCO with the resonance up.

Also have a look through the older messages at some of the alternate values
people have used to tweak it to suit themselves.
