Master Divider Layout

Master Divider Layout

2004-06-06 by darkboneus

Hi everyone. I've just finished populating my master divider board
and I am trying to figure out what the front panel layout should
be. I am unsure as to what B1, B2, D1 and D2 are on the schematic.
Is this the phase shifting network? What have people been labeling
1c, 1a, 2c, 2a etc on their panels? I'm just not sure what these
outputs correspond to. Sorry if this is a stupid question. I
understand what the module is used for, but I don't understand how
the layout is implemented. Any pointers would be great. Thanks.

Yes.

1 = clk divided by 2
2 = clk divided by 4
3 = clk divided by 8
4 = clk divided by 16
5 = clk divided by 32
6 = clk divided by 64

as such /2, /4, /8, /16, etc would be okay.

A is rising edge of output pulse falls on a rising edge of the clock pulse.
C is rising edge is 180 degrees out of phase from A.
B and D are at 90 degrees and 180 degrees respectively BUT as these are
switched, you cannot specifiy the division on the jacks - it instead myst be
around the switch knob.

Stupid? No. This module has even confused its creator on occasions!
