If you need it serviced, I have good success doing a retro mod to fix the bad ribbon in these. If a person is very careful and electromechanically savvy they can probably pull it off. But I'm in Montana and fedex only costs 20 some bucks just to send it. I can usually do the work and reship it so you are out a total of 100 bucks or something close.
