Re: Bit One MIDI upgrade?

2009-03-08 by crc1@rocketmail.com

i have tried to reply to you many times now, but it does not seem to work :P.. one more try..

> Thats great news!!! What was wrong with it? And how did you fix this?

it was totally out of tune and drifted ALOT.
i found alot of potentiometers and screws on the circuitboard that i experimented with. i also found out that the PITCH knob on the back of the synth should be turned fully to the left. othervise the mod wheel did not work correctly. i exprimented with tuning all those screws and i used a free guitar tuning vst called GTune. i can explain more later. i just don't want to write a long story again and press "send" just to see that my post disappears somewhere.

> And how do you access these extra parameters?

i just came across this "my synth had a midi upgrade that adds parameters 62-65" somewhere on the internet, and i tried it out and was happy to find that my bit one had those parameters too.

just press LOWER and after that ADDRESS and choose parameter 65 and choose a midichannel, or parameter 64 and choose 0 for omni-off and 1 for omni-on. like i said that you can not save that, so you have to do this every time you turn your synth on, but it's no big deal.

i don't know what bit one's have this so called midi upgrade. there is no info about this on the synth anywhere, and the manual tells that you can just use it in omni mode on and channel 1. better try and hope your bit one has this.

if someone knows what parameters 62 and 63 do, i'd be really happy. both are on/off style parameters, so just value 0 or 1.

cheers!
