I'm not aware that there was ever a MIDI upgrade to the Bit One, but perhaps there was a firmware revision. I've never seen a Bit that didn't have it, so it was probably early on.
I don't remember what parameters 62 and 63 do -- I thought 63 controlled MIDI channel, but it's been a long time since I used my Bit One, as it9;s been replaced by a Bit 01.
I do remember that these parameters are not saved between power-cycles, unfortunately. You'll find that the Bit One's MIDI implementation is very unstable generally -- that and the user interface are certainly the worst things about this otherwise brilliant synth.

heya crumar friends!
just bought me a broken bit one last week. it took me 3 days to repair, and now it seems to be fully functional and perfectly in tune. was alot work, but it seems that it was worth the effort!
i stumbled across some info that there is/was a midi upgrade, and it would add parameters 62-65 to it. i tried it out and noticed that my crumar had these. after small experimentation i figured out that parameter 65 is to select a midi channel and 64 is for omni mode on-off. what i would like to know is what to the parameters 62 and 63 stand for.
it also seems that you can not save these parameter changes, so you have to input them every time you turn your synth on. turning that omni mode off has made my bit one much more stabile when using through midi.
but anyone know about the parameters 62 and 63?
thanks!
