Crumar Musical Instruments User Group.

I am new to midi but have aquired the above. From research I believe that it is the add keyboard controller for the Bit 01 also marketed in the states as the Unique DBM.
All I want to do with it, for now, is use it as a trigger for a soft synth in my PC. I have a soundcard with midi break out lead and freeware Synthmaker cm and Midi-ox to test it with. I get sound through headphones using the computer keyboard but the system XP doesn't seem to see the MMKB with either of the above. I had 'no midi devices'. this was cured by enabling Midi in the PC BIOS, but now 'no midi input devices'.
I need to get information on the MMKB to set it to transmit on midi CH1 etc and will probably need some drivers for the keyboard.
Can anybody help or am I going in the completely wrong direction here.
Anything would be much appreciated manuals/downloads/freeware as I am on a low budget for now.
