Yeah - that transformer! Held in place ONLY by the 4 or 5 wires going 
in and out of it. Crazy. My Spirit was the same, but it hadn't even 
been in an aeroplane. Just about managed to splice solder the wires 
back and then secured the thing with hefy cable ties.

Is it just the trafo, or has it damaged other stuff?

Do a web search for "Mark Glinsky's Manual Manor", I think he has 
schematics.
