Crumar DS-1 Repair Looking for an LM326N Dual Tracking Voltage Regulator IC

Crumar DS-1 Repair Looking for an LM326N Dual Tracking Voltage Regulator IC

2006-09-07 by insektgod

If anyone just happens to know where to find this extinct and exotic
IC for less than $50 bucks with a minimum order of 10 units...

Please Help Me.

Many Thanks in Advance.

I have a feeling that I may have to hack a PC power supply into the
system to coax it into making those Crumar-ian sounds I long for.

Morning,

since the LM 326 is somewhat of a fixed Voltage regulator, why not using
a 78XX-Part instead of them?

Greetings
Stef

Re: Crumar DS-1 Repair LM326N Dual Tracking Voltage Regulator IC

Thanks Stef,

I found 2 suppliers wdgreenhill.com and fibra-brandt.com that both
sold the LM326N IC, Just in case anyone else ever finds there DS-1
without any positive or negative 12 volt power.

I think wdgreenhill.com has the better deal basically about $29.73
total including shipping.

I know it's a lot to pay for a power supply IC that can actually be
replaced with more standard parts that nobody would ever see, but then
it also requires less custom work and actually lets the DS-1 remain in
a more stock condition. (not that it was in anything remotely close to
minty condition when I got it.)

Thank for your help,
Cameron

Out of curiosity, what serial # is your DS-1? Mine is 101, and so far
that is the highest I've been able to verify.
