Sorry to be late in replying, but yes I mean't that after a certain point all the readings are identical. Unfortunately (or not) I have not been able to get the spectro into that state again. I did as you suggested and took over 425 readings of the same patch and then did other readings but all was well. Hopefully it was a one time glitch. I'm off for several days to cover the Hydroplane regatta in Valleyfield and will do some more profiling work when I return. Thanks for responding.
