New to the Group, and new Spyder2Pro user

2006-08-09 by Edward Henry

I just purchased the ColorVision Spyder2PRO and must say I am VERY
impressed. I have a new Dell 2405 wide screen monitor and a old Store
display Sony Trinitron 20" CRT that was pushing green very badly
(everything had a green tint even after using Digital Video Essentials
in the computers DVD drive). After using the Spyder2Pro I was able to
get both monitors to almost match perfectly (6500k) except for the CRT
being slightly darker. What I would like to know is is there a way for
me to use it to calibrate my TV as well? (It is an cheap TV with only
a composite A/V hook up) I saw the Color Vision Spyder TV but if I can
use the Spyder2 and not have to buy another color meter then that
would be wonderful. I have been using Digital Video Essentials, and
Avia till now.

Any suggestions will be welcomed. If it turns out I will have to buy
the Spyder TV suite I will just stay with my DVD calibration disks for
now.
