Hey David, yes i think that i did accidentally have 'no color management' unchecked during one of the target prints. i shoulda thought of it before i sent the email to you :P. it came to me the moment i hit the send button. as for the printer being the problem... i went at problem solving once again this morning (the moment i finished my coffee)... and, to my amazement, everything was working again. there were no errors or printer issues, so a decided to print a couple new color swatches, did two readings and used the resulting ICC profiles, tried the profiles out and got a good print! your i think what is happening is that i'm getting corruption in the print spooler. this is resulting in a bad file being sent to the printer and it clogs up the cache and makes everything screwy. i reinstalled all print drivers after trashing every printer driver and associated prefs i could find. thanks for the help once again :) ghi
