Hi David, Yes, I do read each patch set twice. Could buy more expensive equipment with readers and averaging included, but by reading 2x and comparing I am pretty certain I can get a good profile. (I have yet to find a significant difference however) (Also still have to add 6- 12 Blue on the sliders for most papers to get the yellow tint under control) On a different topic. Black point compensation: I have researched this on the web and still get conflicting answers. Some say BPC forces profile to deepest black and then maps everything above it. You alluded to the fact you set the black point with the profile you create. Should you use BPC with relative colorimetric or perceptual rendering? The goal being best dmax and good shadow separation.
