Same as earlier. > >What is happening? > I think you're running the older 1.1.1 or earlier PFP software. Download the latest PFP 2.0 installer from the ColorVision web site, here: http://www.colorvision.com/sup_dl-upgrades.shtml Make sure you Uninstall the older PFP software (with the spectro unplugged) before you run the 2.0 installer. This problem typically happened if you tried to build/overwrite an existing profile that also happened to be "in use" by Photoshop or some other application (Photoshop, for instance, if it was running and if the profile you were trying to build into had also been in use for softproofing). The newer PFP 2.0 checks for this more fully and warns you specifically if this is the case, and won't let you proceed if it won't be able to overwrite the profile when it's done with its calculations. From your description, I can't tell if this is actually what's happening, but I think if you get PFP 2.0 up and running on your system, this problem will no longer exist. (PFP 2.0 also has a completely rewritten Print Preview generation which is not only several times faster than in the older versions, but that also generates a true softproof which matches Photoshop's).
