Thanks! I wish the advantages / features of Spyder2 vs. Spyder2Pro
were a expanded on a little better on their web site. Is there a
detailed document of the differences?
Spyder2PRO description tab on the CV website says:
"Pro-level features include multiple monitor calibration and matching,"
And the features tab includes this bullet:
"Multiple Monitor Calibration and Matching allows you to calibrate and profile multiple monitors on a single system or across an entire studio."
Spyder2 Suite description and features tabs do not mention multiple monitor calibration or matching. Thats about as clear as marketing materials are going to get...
Is there a limitation on the number of displays one could
calibrate / profile on a single PC? For example, if I choose to
use my on board adapter and purchase a PCI Express card, could I
perform these steps with three?
Three is easy enough, and with a single monitor on your internal video, and two on a compliant PCI Express card it should be possible. Certainly three on the Mac is easy enough. Its these entire walls of monitors that get challenging, as they are often controlled from special mass-video systems that do not allow for custom LUTs or individual profiles. In the cases where walls are controlled by extended busses with independant video cards, they calibrate nicely.
