My implication was not that your sound system was bad, just that the only place where I have experience "hiccoughs" in the measurement sounds was under Windows. What element causes this is a bit of a mystery; USB communication would be my guess. But as you say, now that you know it does not imply a bad measurement, you can just keep going.
