I picked up on something from CD Tobie a week or so ago and forgot to ask about it - he mentioned or implied that the target profile print should be done with the rendering intent set to what you plan on using - ie Saturation.. i was under the impression at ALL image profiles need to be off/disabled ... etc.. could David M or CDT please confirm...
When you print the target, there is no rendering intent. It's
printed
with color management turned off (rendering intent only applies
when color
management is turned on).
The only things that should affect the target print are the
settings in the
printer driver: paper/media type, output quality/resolution,
etc.
I think what you're talking about here is softproofing through
the profile,
when you're in Photoshop; in which case, yes, in View:Proof
Setup:Custom,
use the same rendering intent for printing (when you get to that
point) that
you're using when you're softproofing.
